For their 2017 holiday card, the Wilson family wanted
to do something cool and different thst highlighted what makes them
unique. So, to achieve this, mom Heather, dad Frederick, and
kids Lyric, 9, and Canton, 6, headed to the middle of “nowhere”
California dressed to the nines for a photo shoot.
The photo shoot has an “organic glam” style. (Photo:

But while the looks might seem expensive, especially
juxtaposed with the run-down buildings the family poses in, Heather
tells Yahoo Lifestyle they didn’t break the bank: “I literally bought
our dresses 2 hours before the shoot and Canton’s suit is from H&M
straight out of the mall.”

And while the ensembles appear to be picture
perfect, one thing’s definitely missing. “Lyric forgot her shoes,”
Heather says, noting that she was so focused on playing with the iPad
that she walked out of the house with nothing on her feet. “But it
worked out amazingly for the look. I think it made the shoot look
organic and naturally glam.”

And Heather — as the owner of an online kids clothing and book boutique, producer of children’s shows, model representative, and PTO president — would know.
Lyric and Canton are similarly accomplished
and currently trying to break into the entertainment industry. Lyric
sings, acts, and models. The adorable triple treat recently landed her
first major movie role in Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time directed by Ava Duvernay starring Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon. Lyric is playing the role of “Young Meg.”

But before Lyric makes her big screen debut
in March, the Wilsons are already getting rave reviews. In fact, Heather
says she’s overwhelmed with the support they’ve received online.
“Wow! So stunning! Happy holidays gorgeous
family,” wrote a commenter. “Absolutely beautiful! Love the photo,”
wrote another commenter. “Seriously family goals for sure! Gorgeous is
an understatement.”
“Who knew our little old family would mean so
much to so many or so many different levels,” she says. “Makes you
understand that sometimes there’s a bigger purpose than you or what you
see, and it will be displayed how God sees fit.”

She adds
that “it really makes me emotional because I truly just posted the
picture and thought nothing of it. But to see people’s comments of
faith, in where we can go as a society through expectancy, was what
touched us the most.”
