As the 20-year anniversary of Princess Diana's death approaches,
Royal insiders say Prince Charles is struggling emotionally thnks to the
torrent of news items detailing her life and untimely passing.
“It is fair to say Prince Charles is feeling pretty raw and emotional with a lot of the pain from the past being dredged up again," a source told the Sunday Express.

Seeing
story after story recounting what happened during Diana's frequently
unhappy marriage to Charles has brought up a lot of uncomfortable
emotions for the prince, the source said.

"To some extent it is the war of the Waleses all over again, which is disappointing as Prince Charles had left that unhappy period in his life behind," the source said.

Charles
is unlikely to get much sympathy from the public, however, given that
the stories being recounted are a reminder of how young Diana was when
she was killed in a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997.

“It
is good that the virtues and good works of Princess Diana are being
remembered but, unfortunately, there has been relentless focus on the
heartache of decades ago as well," the source said.
